The sun
Read a poem from one of Rannu's residents.
Inspired by the sun
The poem "The Sun" was written by Daeng Intan, a member of the Women's Learning Group in Rannu Village. The group will organise a Culture and Arts Festival in April. After participating in an action learning workshop about solar power, Daeng Intan was inspired to write the special poem, and will be one of the participants in the festival where she will be reading the poem.
The sun
The sun, oh the sun
Warm and radiant light
Illuminating the world with its rays
Bringing life and hope
You rise from the eastern horizon
Carrying light and joy
Lighting up dark paths
Opening doors of hope
The sun, oh the sun
You are the source of life
Bringing warmth and light
Making the world beautiful
You are a symbol of hope
You are a source of strength
Guiding us through hardship
Towards a brighter light.
Matahari
Matahari oh Matahari
Cahaya yang hangat dan terang
Menerangi dunia dengan sinar
Membawa kehidupan dan harapan
Kamu bangkit dari ufuk timur
Membawa cahaya dan kebahagiaan
Menerangi jalan yang gelap
Membuka pintu harapan
Matahari oh Matahari
Kamu adalah sumber kehidupan
Membawa kehangatan dan cahaya
Membuat dunia menjadi indah
Kamu adalah simbol harapan
Kamu adalah sumber kekuatan
Membawa kita melalui kesulitan
Menuju ke cahaya yang terang.
