Psychology of Exercise and Wellbeing

This module explores 3 areas of exercise psychology: exercise, mental health and wellbeing; exercise interventions; and exercise and culture. The first area will explore how exercise is associated with wellbeing in a variety of mental health conditions. The second will explore the theoretical basis and practical complications of exercise interventions. The third will explore the role of culture in exercise behaviour. Throughout the module, you will engage with key readings and online activities, to support their learning and development. Activities include using and reflecting on a mobile phone fitness app, and interviewing a non-exercising friend or family member.
