In this module, you will explore the application of psychology to a wide range of issues relating to work organisations.
You will learn about theories theories from mainstream psychology regarding issues surrounding:
- social identity
 - group decision-making
 - stereotyping
 - leadership and motivation.
 
These will help inform detailed discussion of key topics in organisational psychology, such as:
- work motivation and work behaviour
 - group processes, teamwork and leadership
 - organisational structure and culture; organisational change and development
 - gender and cultural diversity in the workplace.
 
Module learning outcomes
- Consolidate knowledge of theory and research in key areas of contemporary organisational psychology
 - Systematically understand the complexity of theory and methodology in organisational psychology and of major debates within the discipline
 - Critically evaluate the relationship between organisational psychological theory and research findings and organisational practice
 - Devise arguments and comment upon current research and primary sources in organisational psychology effectively
