Mental health influences much of our everyday behaviour and interactions with others. This module introduces mental health issues and psychopathology impacting people across the lifespan. Students will learn how psychological diagnoses are made and how psychologists use theory to guide practice when treating patients. We will cover common disorders such as anxiety, depression, and dementia as well as contemporary evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive behavioural therapy.
