Module learning outcomes
- Critically evaluate arguments, assumptions, concepts and inter-disciplinary material (historical accounts, human geography, etc., as necessary) to make judgements and interpretations, and to frame appropriate questions to write longer research papers.
- Communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialist and non-specialist audiences, i.e tutor and peers.
- Behave in self-motivated and responsible way in terms of project preparation and research, compatible with project-based tasks in the workplace.
- Thoroughly review considerable body of secondary research in order to formulate research questions relevant to the contemporary academy.
- Apply the methods and theoretical positions that they have learned in order to review, consolidate, extend and apply their knowledge and understanding, and to initiate and carry out research-based projects.
- Develop working methods that provide a potential trajectory towards further research and skills acquisition.
