Experiential in approach, this module will help you develop professional legal, and transferable, in a real-world context. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to work on a law-related employer brief and in doing so develop essential career management skills such as communication and presentation skills, teamwork, leadership skills, evaluative judgement, and project management. This module will help you to be better prepared for future CV building opportunities such as legal internships and other work placements.

Module learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate engagement, participation, and personal responsibility in a practical ‘employer’ task.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and communicate information, ideas, and solutions appropriate for the target audience.
  • Demonstrate effective oral communication of legal advice and/or legal information suitable for a work like context such as a ‘work in progress’ review.
  • Initiate and undertake practical legal research
