You examine European and North American art from the early 1920s to the 1970s. 

You study:

• Surrealism including artworks, texts and films
• action painting and Abstract Expressionism
• the figurative work of the 1940s and 1950s in Europe including Pop, Minimal and Conceptual Art.

You explore the works of Joan Miro, Andre Masson, Luis Bunuel, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Francis Bacon, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Andy Warhol, Gilbert and George and Robert Smithson.
