This module develops your understanding of the art and craft of screenwriting.

Your group will undertake a thorough investigation of plot structure, and develop a sophisticated understanding of character development and theme. You will also consider other screenwriting concepts including subtext, scene design and cinematic juxtaposition.

The practical part of the module involves you writing a script for an 8-10 minute short film. Through guided writing exercises and viewings, you will work through a script development process that guides you from initial conception to the completion of a fully revised draft.
