In this module, you will apply advanced skills in digital and analysis and visualisation to a relevant digital media-related topic.

You will produce a project which demonstrates advanced and integrated understanding of the tools, concepts and theories developed throughout the module.

Module learning outcomes

  • Accomplish a media and communications research projects using Digital Humanities techniques and methods
  • Demonstrate systematic understanding of the concepts and techniques that they have acquired through the taught components of the course as well as an in-depth understanding of the particular research topic they have chosen.
  • Identify and select data and digital methods relevant and appropriate to the project undertaken.
  • Select and explain key aspects and limitations of the digital methods used in their project in a coherent and detailed manner.
  • Appreciate the critical, social and ethical significance of the data and analysis methods used in the project.
