POSTPONED: Run, walk or cycle the 2020 Brighton Marathon with us

Sunday 19 April 7:00 until 19:00
Preston Park, Brighton

Some of the Sussex alumni, staff and students who took part in the 2017 Brighton Marathon and BM10k

Roughly one in four of us in the UK experience a mental health problem each year, so it’s no exaggeration to say that we are all facing a mental health crisis. With your help, Sussex can work to address this emergency.

We have 50 places for the 2020 Brighton Marathon, 70 places for the BM10K, and 20 places for the Brighton Ride event. We need you to help us create a team from our incredible community of alumni, staff and students – all of whom will be fundraising for mental health research at Sussex.

Our last Marathon and BM10K team in 2017 raised funds to help thousands of people suffering from podoconiosis.  Now we’re looking to do the bring staff, students and alumni together once again to help create a better world for everyone.

Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis – so reserve your place early to avoid disappointment.

Message from Brighton Marathon:

Following the escalation of coronavirus, we have been taking advice from official bodies, while also working closely with other mass event organisers to understand the situation for the industry, our participants and supporters.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to deliver the disappointing news that the Brighton Marathon Weekend has been postponed until Friday 18th September – Sunday 20th September 2020. (Brighton Marathon, BM10k and BM Ride taking place on Sunday 20th September.)
