We look at your full profile taking into account everything you are studying, including the high school graduation diploma, Grade 12 GPA, SAT tests and subject tests and/or ACT grades We are particularly interested in AP tests and would ideally like to see 3 good AP scores.

Advanced Placement Tests with scores of between 5,4,4 to 4,4,4 in 3 AP subjects.

If you have taken the SAT reasoning tests we'd normally expect a combined score of at least 1300 and will look for around 600 in relevant subject tests.

If you've taken the ACT we'd expect to see a composite score of at least 26.

    You spend 75% of your time studying Sociology and 25% of your time studying Media Studies.

    You begin with key themes and perspectives in sociology, and sociological work examining diverse aspects of contemporary life in Britain and beyond. This includes social diversity, class and gender inequalities.

    Foundation modules introduce you to the theoretical tools needed to question and investigate a range of media. You learn about contemporary media debates, as well as how to analyse and reflect on institutions, texts and audiences. Or you can choose a practice option in, for example, digital video, sound or photography.

        You spend 75% of your time studying Sociology and 25% of your time studying Media Studies.

        Seminars and workshops strengthen your intellectual and practical skills. You explore social change in relation to topics such as:

        Your future career

        By studying Sociology and Media Studies you will gain practical, communication, critical thinking and analytical skills. You’ll also develop media awareness.

        Our graduates work in government, health, social welfare, public and human relations, journalism and business. You’ll also be prepared for jobs in media and communications. This includes working:
