Staff Pulse Survey coming this October – have your say
Posted on behalf of: University of Sussex
Last updated: Tuesday, 16 September 2025

We are running a short Staff Pulse Survey for all staff from 13 October to 2 November to ask you for your views on working life at the University.
Feedback gathered in the mini survey, which has six questions and should only take two minutes to complete, will help us understand staff perspectives right now, during a period of change at Sussex. Your responses to the survey will enable action plans to be developed to help improve working life at Sussex.
The responses to our previous full staff survey in 2024 remain important. Feedback gathered in both surveys will be used in action planning, as the full survey in 2024 included more questions on a wider range of topics.
Look out for an email from People Insight, our survey partner, on 13 October with your personal survey link and please take the opportunity to take a couple of minutes to have your say.
About the staff survey
You are encouraged to take part in this year’s Staff Pulse Survey, in the year between the biannual full survey, to share your experience of working at the University. Your feedback to staff surveys shapes action plans (network login required) which help ensure colleagues can flourish in their working lives.
Survey results help bring positive change for staff at Sussex - read case studies from staff across the University about how different teams have tackled issues raised in previous surveys.
Our partner organisation People Insight will host the Staff Pulse Survey. All responses will remain completely confidential, and no answers or comments will be attributable to any individual.
How to take part
You will receive an email from People Insight on Monday 13 October with your survey link. The survey, which closes on Sunday 2 November, will take you around two minutes to complete and you will be able to access it easily on either your computer or mobile phone.
