The Pearl Laboratory
CR-UK DNA Repair Enzymes Research Group

The Pearl Laboratory (PIs : Prof. Laurence Pearl FRS, Dr. Antony Oliver & Dr. Chris Prodromou) seeks to understand the structural basis for assembly, specificity and regulation of the multi-protein complexes involved in the recognition, repair and signalling of DNA damage, and in the chaperone-mediated stabilisation and activation of cellular signalling pathways.

These basic studies provide the means for discovery and development of novel small-molecule inhibitors with application as drugs for the treatment of cancer and other diseases.

Independent Postdoc Fellow positions in Structural Biology

There are currently no vacant posts in the lab, but we are always interested to talk to ambitious young scientists who would like to pursue an independent Postdoctoral Fellowship in a world-class laboratory.

We are very happy to support applications for Sir Henry Wellcome Fellowships from outstanding researchers nearing completion of their PhDs. Contact Prof. Laurence Pearl FRS if you are interested.
