Services

Welcome to the Nanomaterial service. Chemistry@Sussex is the birth place of morden nanomaterials, C60. We are experienced in material synthesis and analysis. We can offer advices on material structures, chemical propertities and composition.

Instruments available to commercial work and industry: Jeol scanning electron microscopy with LinkISIS EDS for composition analysis, Veeco DI3100 AFM/STM for surface analysis. Photoelectrochemical reactors for evaluate photocatalytic activity.

We have more than 15 years of experience in UHV technology and are well experienced in varieties of UHV instruments, such as STM (LT, VT and RT), LEED, AES, XPS, etc.

We are also specialised in developing new methods for thin film depositions and synthesis of composite nanomaterials. Variety of technologies, including e-beam evaporation (metal, oxide and organic), catalytic growth (ALD, CVD, PVD for carbon, semconductor and Quantum dots) and sputter deposition.

We are interested in the developing nanomaterials for photocatalysis, photovoltaics and medical purpose. We welcome any proposals for academic and industrial discussions and collaborations.
