Scavenger Hunt: First Prize- Fit Bit Charge

Collect funny photos as you complete a series of 10 challenges for a chance to win an amazing Fit Bit Charge! This wrist watch can monitor your heart rate, record workouts, track all-day activity, see exercise stats and give you a better picture of your overall health.

For a chance to win this prize, you must complete the following:

1)      Take a photo of you and your friends in class  *please check this is OK with your tutor first!

2)      Take a selfie in front of some Brighton beach huts

3)      Take a photo of the most typically British thing you can find

4)      Take a photo of some wildlife you can find on campus

5)      Take a funny selfie whilst on the social programme

6)      Take a photo of you and your house mates in your flat

7)      Take a selfie whilst wearing Sussex merchandise

8)      Take a photo of your favourite thing to eat in Brighton

9)      Take a photo of your favourite place to hang out in Brighton

10)    Take a selfie with some Brighton street art

Please email your submissions to isstrips@sussex.ac.uk before midnight of 6 August 2017.

Prizes will be awarded at the end of the Session 2 farewell ceremony, but the competition is still open to Session 1 only students. In the event that a Session 1 only student is to win a prize then this will posted out to them via DHL.

Video Competition: First prize - Beats Solo 2 Headphones

Have fun and get creative making a film about all the wonderful experiences you've enjoyed at ISS to win this incredible prize! This competition is open to all students, whether you are staying for one or both sessions.

Your videos must:

  • Be a maximum of 3 minutes long
  • Be well produced and edited (basically they need to make sense).
  • Feature mainly video footage (not just slideshows or photos)
  • Contain no copyrighted music – if you want to use music, royalty-free music can be found at http://www.bensound.com/royalty-free-music/, by typing “royalty free music” into Google or, even better, making the music yourself!

You can use any device to record the video (phone, camera, video camera etc.). Please email your submissions to isstrips@sussex.ac.uk before midnight of 6 August 2017.

Prizes will be awarded at the end of the Session 2 farewell ceremony, but the competition is still open to Session 1 only students. In the event that a Session 1 only student is to win a prize then this will posted out to them via DHL.

British Accent Competition: First Prize - Amazon Echo Dot

Hopefully by the end of summer school you'll be au fait with a variety of British accents! Armed with this new-found knowledge, why not compete to win a fabulous Amazon Echo Dot? These incredible voice-controlled devices allow you to play music via Bluetooth, order takeaways from Just Eat, request rides from Uber aswell as get weather and news updates.

For a chance to win an Echo Dot, simply make a video of yourself or of you and your friends speaking in a British accent and use as many of these British words and phrases as possible. The funniest clip wins!
