The subject talk will be followed by a Q&A session for 30 mins with current Geography students at Sussex to provide a student perspective.

Geography BA – Studying the geographies of money at Sussex: A case study on tax havens

In this 30 mins lecture, we will introduce you to the sub-field of economic geography, and will outline one of our 3rd year Geography modules entitled 'The Geographies of Money, Finance, and Debt'. We will also give an overview of one of the topics on this module, which looks at the history and impacts of tax havens.

 

Geography BSc – Ice Age Earth

Were you aware that we are still in the middle of an Ice Age? This 30-minute taster lecture introduces some of the methods used to investigate how climate and environment has changed over the past 2.6 million years (the so-called 'Ice Ages') and explores how we can use this information to inform sustainable practices in the modern-day world.
