Mike Land
Professor Mike Land, FRS
Our beloved colleague Mike Land very sadly passed away in December 2020. Mike was an eminent researcher in animal vision and was instrumental in the development of neuroscience research at Sussex. Mike was a truly wonderful colleague, and a dear friend and mentor to many in our community. In homage to Mike, our main building’s hallways are decorated with his pictures of the great variety of animal eyes that he researched, and these give us a tangible reminder of Mike’s legacy.
