Accommodation

Guaranteed accommodation

For the 2017/8 academic year, you are guaranteed a place in University-managed housing if you are:

  • a full-time, first-year undergraduate student applying through UCAS for September 2017 and you firmly accept our offer
  • a full-time Masters student from outside the European Union
  • a full-time, first-year PhD student studying for a full academic year.

You receive a link to the online housing application from February 2017. Find out how to apply for housing

If you're not a first-year student, you can't apply for University-managed housing (unless you have health or accessibility needs.) Find out about renting student accommodation.

Housing application deadline

Undergraduate students: You must apply by 1 August to be guaranteed housing.

Masters and PhD students: You must apply and pay a £300 pre-payment by 1 August to be guaranteed housing.

If you apply after 1 August, your application is considered as an expression of interest. However, we will do our best to house you and help you search for private accommodation.
