Holistic massage (to relax and balance)

on Mondays from 1.30 to 6pm with Jan Holden.

Using traditional and advanced techniques to achieve a relaxing and calming treatment with many possible benefits such as; improving circulation, removing toxins, improving skin and muscle tone, aiding digestion and harmonising mind body and soul.

Hot Stone Massage

A full hot stone massage is a deeply relaxing treatment with all the benefits of a holistic massage.Volcanic stones are heated in water to a comfortable temperature and then used as extensions of the hands to massage the body.

Stones can also be used therapeutically to treat chronic pain and acute injuries. Combining hot and cold can speed up the healing process by flushing the affected area and bringing new blood into it.

Clinical massage creatively combines a range of advanced bodywork techniques to provide an outcome-based treatment specific to the individual's needs. Outcomes might include reduction and elmination of pain, increased range of motion, improved posture and always a feeling of relaxation.

Techniques include deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, stretching, hot/cold application, trigger point therapy, acupressure and MFR (Myo-Fascial Release). Virtually any pain condition and chronic illness can be treated benefically with clinical massage. Body Balancing

An interactive one hour session where the therapist works with the client to assess the balance and functionality of the body and consider treatment options to achieve the desired outcome.

Postural assessment, testing range of motion of joints, advice on posture and lifestyle factors that may be involved and teaching stretches and exercises will be covered.

Chiropractic Clinic

As a primary healthcare profession, chiropractic diagnoses, treats and prevents neuromusculoskeletal (nerves, muscles and joints) disorders.

Chiropractic treatment is non-invasive and uses a wide variety of techniques to improve the function of joints thus reducing muscle spasms and pain.

Chiropractors treat symptoms of neck and back pain, sciatica, shoulder injuries (including frozen shoulders), elbow and wrist pain and pains in the hips, knees, fingers and feet.

Clinical/Deep Tissue massage (for treating pain conditions)

on Mondays from 1.30-6pm with Jan Holden.

Using a selection of techniques drawn from trigger point therapy, myofascial release, soft tissue release, hot and cold therapy and stretching techniques. Typical conditions that can benefit are; back pain/slipped disc, piriformis syndrome, sciatica, whiplash and chronic neck pain, migraine/headaches, shoulder pain/frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome/RSI's, golfers and tennis elbow, sporting injuries and osteoarthritis.

Trigger points are areas within muscle or fascia developing as a result of overuse, injury, or poor posture. This can give rise to pain locally or refer to a recognisable pain pattern. Reflexology

Reflexology can help reduce levels of stress and help improve or restore sleep patterns. It is suitable for all age groups whether you are standing on your feet all day and lead an active life, or if your lifestyle is more sedentary, reflexology can benefit you. Although you don't need to be looking for anything more than a spot of relaxation and time for yourself.

Reflexology is a very easy therapy to receive; the most clothing that will have to be removed for a treatment to take place will be your socks and shoes. Specific finger, thumb and hand techniques are used to apply pressure to reflex points in the feet, working from foot-to-foot covering the whole area, imbalance and congestion can be located. The treatment is completed by a relaxing lower leg and foot massage

Sports Massage with Bill

on Tuesdays from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and Fridays from 10am to 12.30pm with Bill Jeffries.

This is an invigorating deep tissue therapy. It is beneficial to both prevent and treat soft tissue injuries and is excellent for relieving muscular stress and tension. It can help R.S.I., tension headaches, back and knee pain, buritis and frozen shoulders.
