Sport Centre fitness room

The Sport Centre fitness room has recently been renovated with nine cross trainers, two summits, and eight Life Fitness bikes to accommodate the existing strength machines and three rowers. All these machines are only three years old and have been moved from the Falmer Sports Complex fitness room.

The existing resistance machines at the Sport Centre are suitable for all levels of user and are designed to allow circuit-based exercises. These machines require no adjustment (besides the resistance lifting). The Sport Centre fitness room also comprises of a stretch/core area.

The room is also our spinning room where we have many classes each week. These bikes can also be used as part of your workout.

If you are unsure of where to start, have a special event to train for or just want to maximise your time in the fitness room, then take a look at our personal fitness programmes.

Please note that the Sport Centre fitness room is closed every Tuesday and Thursday during term time between the hours of 12.15-12.45pm as the Life Fitness class will be taking place.
