Autumn 2015

Ellen attends a workshop Introduction to Secondary Data (London, UK 2 December 2015) followed by a discussion at the EDGE Lab meeting.

Ellen and Darya present the results of the R2R project at the CLOSER Conference. The importance of early years, childhood and adolescence: Evidence from longitudinal studies (London, UK, 30 November, 2015). The full conference programme is here.

A PhD studentship to investigate the role of emotional problems in cognitive ageing is available to start in Autumn 2016. Read more about the details of the project and application procedure here. Ellen has been awarded with the Psychology Poster Prize! Congratulations to Ellen!

Our new paper that investigates the effects of pubertal development on affective symptoms across the life course has been published in the Development & Psychopathology [PDF 143.21KB].

Ellen and Darya participate at the workshop Cross-cohort research: Opportunities, challenges and examples (London, UK, 9 September, 2015). 

 

Summer 2015

We have published a new paper in collaboration with colleagues at the UCL and University of Cambridge on the importance of psychometric precision in definition of psychiatric disorders in molecular genetic studies. The full publication can be found here.

Ellen presents the results of the R2R project at the PsycPAG Conference (Glasgow, UK, 22-24 July 2015). 

Darya gives a symposium presentation on the results on the PACT study 'Parenting practices and internalising and externalising symptoms in young adults from five countries’ at the 14th European Congress of Psychology (Milan, Italy, 7-10 July 2015).

Darya attends a 3-day Epigenetic Epidemiology training course at the University of Bristol (Bristol, UK, 29 June - 1 July 2015), with support from the School Research Fund.

 

Spring 2015

Ellen undertakes advansed statistical training at the Utrech Univesity Longitudinal data analysis: Current best methods (Utrecht, Netherlands, 13-17 April 2015).

The EDGE Lab undegraduate students; Laura, Vicky, Zakiya and Ruby, give presentations on their research projects. Well done, everyone!

Winter 2015

Amy Sands, Charlotte Kemp and Ekin Secinity give presentations on meta-analytic studies of the effects of early life adversities on later life psychological and neurostructural outcomes.

Ellen Thompson runs the workshop Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis for the EDGE Lab members.
