Molecular and Cellular Basis of Hearing and Deafness
Work in the Richardson Lab is concerned with understanding how the inner ear works and develops, and on unravelling some of the many causes of deafness and balance disorders.
Lab members currently include two highly-talented postdoctoral fellows, Drs. Richard Goodyear and Kevin Legan with expertise in microscopy and molecular biology respectively, technical assistant and lab manager Lindsey Welstead, and a PhD student, Yulia Korchagina. Our work is currently funded by grants from The Wellcome Trust and the RNID.
