Richardson Lab

Molecular and Cellular Basis of Hearing and Deafness

Work in the Richardson Lab is concerned with understanding how the inner ear works and develops, and on unravelling some of the many causes of deafness and balance disorders.

Lab members currently include two highly-talented postdoctoral fellows, Dr. Richard Goodyear and Dr. Emma Kenyon with expertise in microscopy and zebrafish biology respectively, a technical assistant and lab manager Dr. Lionel Tcatchoff, and two PhD students, Molly O'Reilly and Sian Kitcher. Our work is currently funded by grants from The Wellcome Trust, The MRC and Action on Hearing Loss.
