Law taster lectures
These short taster lecture clips showcase different aspects of teaching law at Sussex. The first, on the key doctrine of precedent in common law, is taken from our English Legal System module and gives an example of a blended lecture delivered to first year Sussex Law School students earlier this academic year (2020-21). The second and third clips are taken from introductory lectures in the Law of Tort and show, first, an example of how a key legal concept (here, the duty of care in negligence) is explained, and, second, an example of how we encourage you to think about law in its wider social context.
