On this module, you’ll gain industry-relevant skills in visual storytelling for professional media production. Focusing on how to shoot with the edit in mind, the module develops a strong understanding of:
- shot types
- camera angles
- composition.
These support clear and impactful narratives.
You’ll engage with key concepts such as:
- visual coverage
- spatial coherence
- sequencing
You’ll do this through practical, real-world production exercises. This hands-on approach supports the development of creative and technical skills relevant to a range of roles in film, television and digital content production.

- Demonstrate competent use of camera techniques and editing strategies to construct visually coherent and narratively effective sequences.
- Plan, shoot, and edit short visual projects with attention to coverage, shot composition, and sequencing, aligned with industry-informed production practices.
