Reclaiming the cost of attending our Science, Engineering and Medicine offer-holder event

Find out if you are eligible to receive £1,000 when you begin your course in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine in September 2026.

It’s a good opportunity for you to meet our faculty and ask any questions about your course and our vibrant learning environment.

That’s why we’re offering a payment of £1,000 to those who both attend a Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine offer-holder event and then go on to become a registered student and start a Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine programme in September 2026.

Terms and conditions

The following terms and conditions should be adhered to in order to claim your £1,000 payment:

  • Claimants must have registered on and attended a Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine offer-holder event in China, Türkiye or India. You can claim your payment four weeks after you have arrived to begin an Undergraduate or Postgraduate programme in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine in September 2026.
  • Only one claim will be paid to a registered student per application year. Whilst you are welcome to attend more than one offer-holder event, the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine will only contribute a payment of £1,000 on one occasion. Multiple applications will not be accepted.
  • Make sure you bring ID with you and register for the event with the organiser at some point during the event, so that we know you attended.
  • Once you have registered to begin your Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine programme in September, your name and email address you provided at the offer-holder event will be matched against your student record. Please ensure that you provide the same email address when you register at Sussex.
  • The payment will be paid by BACS transfer to an account nominated on the claim form by the end of February 2027, provided that all your payments due to the University (including tuition fees and any accommodation rental fees) are up to date. No receipts will be required.
  • Personal data will be processed in line with our privacy notice.
