Researching with Newspapers
During this session you will learn techniques to help you search more effectively for news articles and event coverage across UK and international newspapers.
We’ll demonstrate how to use the vast full-text news database, Nexis, to locate relevant news articles and track how news coverage has evolved over time.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Explain why newspapers are valuable sources for academic research and identify when they are appropriate to use.
- Use Nexis to locate and retrieve newspaper articles relevant to a chosen research topic.
- Conduct advanced searches in Nexis to refine your results
