Research Conversations

The Media, Arts and Humanities Research Conversations bring together groups of faculty and PGRs around shared areas of research interest. They are informal, with the primary aim of encouraging connections and potentially sparking new ideas and collaborations. Each of the three themes have a facilitator and run for around an hour and a half. You can read the facilitators' summary reports for previous sessions.

Autumn 2022:

The first set of three parallel conversations took place on the afternoon of Wednesday 2 November 2022 in the School's research hub in Silverstone around three themes: ActivismCreative Practice; and Translation

Spring 2023:

The second set of three parallel conversations took place on Tuesday 13 June 2023, and the three themes were: ArchivesConflict/Violence; and Sound 

Autumn 2023:

 A set of three parallel conversations, HistoryCreative Practice; and Climate, took place on Monday 16 October 2023 in relation to the Institute's inaugural annual theme, Beginnings

Spring 2025:

Three parallel conversations on Giving Voice to the Unheard; Trauma, Memory, Society; and Worlds of Feeling and Mass Observation took place on Wednesday 26 February.
