Media, Arts and Humanities Research Away Day
Wednesday 21 June 9:30 until 16:30
University of Sussex Campus : Silverstone Building
The Media, Arts and Humanities Research Away Day will be an opportunity for faculty to hear about research going on across the School and to get a sense of the kinds of support the School can now offer you as a researcher.
A dynamic event taking place through the different research spaces in the Silverstone building, it is designed to connect us as individual researchers to our collective endeavour as a research-intensive School. We will also be choosing our Media, Arts and Humanities Research Institute annual theme and there will be excellent food and drink.
What to expect:
Following welcome pastries and hot drinks, Mat Dimmock will introduce the day, and then small groups will move between interactive, informal sessions, having the opportunity to connect and discuss in sociable workshops, which include:
- Let's talk... your fantasy bid
- Let's talk... collaboration
- Let's talk... doctoral supervision
- Let’s talk… Sussex Humanities Lab (SHL): Digital Humanities and beyond
There will be a break for a delicious lunch, and the day will end with drinks and nibbles.
Next steps:
Media, Arts and Humanities faculty have been sent an Outlook calendar invite for the Research Away Day. As a follow-up to our initial calendar invitation, we now need you to register for the day so that we can get a clear sense of numbers for the catering and gather information about any specific access or dietary requirements you may have. Please register for the Research Away Day via Eventbrite by the end of Friday 26 May. You will find more details about the sessions on Eventbrite too.
