We focus on the mathematical aspects of physics which include:

  • quantum field theory,
  • foundations of quantum mechanics,
  • rigorous quantum mechanics,
  • mathematical challenges in quantum chemistry,
  • statistical physics,
  • fracture problems in solids,
  • percolation and foundations of statistical physics.

The group promotes interdisciplinary research that uses applied mathematical and theoretical physics methods, for example in applications to finance and econophysics.
