Junior Research Associate Bursaries

The University of Sussex has a bursary scheme for Sussex undergraduates to assist on a research project for eight weeks during the summer vacation before their final year. Students receive a tax free bursary of £200 per week for eight weeks.

In the summer of 2008, Heather Moore was awarded a bursary to study the egg laying behaviour of honey bee queens. For the summer of 2009, Amanda Kuepfer has been awarded a bursary to study honey bee foraging by decoding waggle dances, which links to Project 2 of the Sussex Plan.
