Our May activities are designed to get you away from your desk and moving. Whether you want to chill out on a walk or push yourself with a run, there's something for everyone!

Boundary Walk - Wednesday 1st May

12-1:30pm

A guided walk of campus and Stanmer park.

Everyone is welcome on this wellbeing event. This will be great for getting you outside, taking in the natural surroundings and being active. Plus, it provides the chance to network with others.

Our guide will give you some local knowledge about the area and show you some of the easy access trails that you can use to escape your desk and unwind.

Make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear for the day, it can get quite muddy!

Boundary Fun Run - Wednesday 22nd May

12-1pm

The route is approximately 4km long and will be signposted throughout. We will have staff marshals along the route to cheer you on and keep you safe

All you need to do is bring your confirmation email and come dressed for running! It can get muddy so please don’t wear you best trainers! If you have trail shoes we recommend wearing them but they’re not essential.

There will be a free gift for every finisher to celebrate your achievement! 

You will learn the route of the local boundary so you can take advantage of the natural surroundings on other days to get you away from the office and out into nature.

Once you’ve learned this route it can be a great way to make the most of our surroundings on the days you’re on campus, whether you walk it or run!

Weekly mountain biking sessions - Every Thursday throughout May

12-2pm

Starting from the Falmer Sports Complex

Bikes and helmets are provided, please wear trainers and suitable clothes for cycling and the weather (leggings, tracksuit bottoms or shorts etc.)

Please only attend if you are already able to ride a bike!

These sessions are aimed at exploring the natural surroundings of the university while getting you active and away from your desk!

You will be guided round the course by one of our Sussexsport instructors.
