Completion of recombination is essential to ensure that chromosomes or sister chromatids can be separated during meiotic and mitotic divisions. We are interested in identifying proteins that ensure joint molecule resolution as well as understanding the consequences for cells should the completion of recombination fail. We study the molecular and cellular processes in both yeast and human cell lines.
