SPRU is a world-leading department where research and high-level policy advice are combined with postgraduate teaching in science, technology, and innovation policy and management. The aim of SEG research is to identify ways of achieving the transition to sustainable, low carbon energy systems whilst addressing other important energy policy objectives such as energy security. SEG is a core partner in the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research  and part of the UK Energy Research Centre.
