Recent Publications

Chemistry @ Sussex has an excellent reputation for research and teaching.

We have been recognized as world leading and internationally excellent in the latest 2008 Research Assessment Exercise and are proud to include a Nobel Laureate, Professor Sir Harry Kroto, amongst our staff.

Chemistry @ Sussex has also been ranked 1st in the Guardian University Guide 2010 for undergraduate chemistry.

We offer a number of core undergraduate and postgraduate degrees including the MChem in Chemistry, fully accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry

All courses are taught by dynamic and highly successful research active staff. You will have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to research within internationally recognised research groups.

These range from organometallic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and chemical biology to molecular spectroscopy, materials modeling and theoretical chemistry within three key chemistry groupings;
