At Sussex, we have a thriving research culture in media theory and cultural studies. And the vibrant city of Brighton & Hove is a hub for cultural, creative and activist enterprise.
Margaretta Jolly, Professor of Cultural Studies, started Sisterhood and After: The Women’s Liberation Oral History Project to create an oral history collection of the UK Women’s Liberation Movement in the 1970s and 80s. She believes that oral history research has something to teach us all about respectful dialogue and listening with care.
