Spring teaching
On this module, you’ll reimagine leadership for a sustainable future. Through this, you’ll develop the mindset, knowledge and skills to lead with purpose, creativity and integrity.
Instead of only observing leadership, you’ll practise it. You’ll:
- shape a sustainability project or initiative that responds to modern environmental, social, or economic challenges
- identify and investigate a real sustainability issue or concern within a small group
- apply key concepts to develop an innovative solution
- receive guidance and formative feedback from external business partners
- refine your ideas into robust and credible proposals
- complete the module with a live pitch event, presenting your project to a panel of experts.
This experience will develop your employability skills and will be a great addition to your CV. Ultimately, the module will challenge you to engage with sustainability as proactive changemakers.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 270 hours of work. This breaks down into about 150 hours of contact time and about 120 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
