Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (N1636A)
15 credits, Level 6
Spring teaching
On this module you'll examine contemporary theories, frameworks, and practices related to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within both organisational and societal contexts.
You'll explore how power dynamics, identity, culture, and policy intersect to shape inclusive or exclusionary practices. Through the analysis of case studies, current debates, and applied analysis, you'll evaluate how EDI principles can be effectively embedded into everyday decision-making processes.
You'll develop the ability to critically reflect on personal, cultural, and institutional disadvantaging, while formulating evidence-based interventions that foster fairness, equity, and a genuine sense of belonging in diverse environments.
