On this module, you’ll explore digital transformation and its impact on organisations.

You’ll consider:

  • how advanced digital technologies – such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, cloud computing, Internet of Things and robotics – can support and limit change
  • how these tools shape organisations to create value for different stakeholders
  • types of AI and their role in driving change for future business
  • how digital transformation fits into business strategy and supports corporate sustainability.

You’ll develop a critical and practical skill set through case studies and hands-on workshops.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
