Biography

Dynamic and strategic Senior Operations Manager with proven success at Sussex leading the management of the Energy Demand Research Centre (EDRC) a £15M+ UKRI funded national research centre spanning 14 UK universities, and as previous Programme Manager for the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme.

Expertise in cross-functional leadership, strategic planning, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement. Adept at aligning interdisciplinary research programmes with varying policy agendas, driving real-world impact, and managing diverse teams in complex environments. Recognised for strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to create high-performing teams that deliver excellence in research and innovation.

Senior Institute Manager, Bennett Institute for Innovation and Policy Acceleration

My role involves providing strategic leadership and operational management for the Institute, working closely with the Director and key stakeholders to deliver its vision and align with the University’s Strategic Framework. This includes overseeing programme planning, resource allocation, budget management, communications, compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
