Hazel Anderson

Research

Hazel is currently investigating ‘hypnosis and synaesthesia’ under the supervision of Prof. Jamie Ward, Prof. Zoltan Dienes and Prof. Anil Seth.  Her research includes the requirements of consciousness in synaesthesia, a condition where a specific inducer (i.e. a sound) generates a sensory concurrent (i.e. a colour) and the creation of synaesthetic experiences using hypnosis. She also researches the role of consciousness more generally for tasks such as number and colour processing.
