Miss Nicola Allen

Biography

After graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Neuroscience from the University of Sussex, I was awarded an Action on Hearing Loss PhD Studentship in October 2011. My research is based around the cellular and molecular basis of hearing and deafness with a specific focus on aminoglycoside-induced ototoxicity. I am investigating the damage repair mechanisms in sensory hair cells following aminoglycoside exposure.
