The session will explore what effective due diligence looks like, what must come across in a pitch, how to prioritise information when the time is limited, and why investors may still say no - even when a pitch is strong. The talk will be particularly relevant for students interested in accounting, finance, investment, entrepreneurship, startups, and early-stage ventures.
Beyond his investment career, Shamir is actively involved in social impact work, including collaborating with Crisis UK and developing an evidence-based financial framework aimed at ending homelessness in the UK.
Topics covered:
- Pitching to angel investors, crowdfunding platforms, and Single Family Offices
- What investors look for during due diligence
- Structuring a clear and compelling pitch
- Common reasons investors say no
As it is a lunch time session, please feel free to bring your own lunch.
