Two databases are available here. The first enables users to track, query, and search (based on annual Champomier/Bouchereau crop reports) for all cane-sugar producers in all the sugar producing parishes in Louisiana, 1845-1917. A second database provides the same search and query functions for the annual crop data and U.S. agricultural census (1850-1880) for all cane sugar producers located within five distinct geographical parishes (counties elsewhere in the U.S.), namely Iberville, St. James. Rapides, Terrebonne, St. Mary Parishes.
The two databases are available for download (please click on the links below). Please note, these files are in MS Access format and you will need to be running MS Office/Windows to utilize them.
