Advanced Propulsion System

This research is focused on developing a new propulsion system for space bound vehicles. The proposed method uses a combination of MagLev (magnetic levitation) and vacuum tubes.

MagLev technology has existed for over a century, yet its current applications are isolated to high speed ground transport system test tracks. Based on a unique principle, it allows for much faster speeds than conventional systems, whilst being a stable and reliable system. By combining this technology with vacuum tubes, it is the intention to develop a launch system, which is initially confined to a fixed length vacuum chamber. -Tanay Sharma
