Student perspective

Robbie Watt

RobbieWatt'Climate change is a matter of justice because of its implications for the poor so I think it is wonderful that this MSc deals with climate in the context of development.

'Before studying here I campaigned to tackle climate change and began to appreciate the scope and complexity of the issues involved, which made me want to know more. Also, some extended periods in developing countries left me amazed by the lives of people abroad and I wanted to enter the debate about what development means and what its role should be.

'Following my undergraduate degree in politics and philosophy, taking this MSc gives me the applied knowledge which I need to be able to work on the problems of climate change and development which I see as global priorities.'
