Registration and accommodation booking for BLC'17

Registration

Registration for PhD students including the PhD (half) day (7th, 8th and 9th):  30 GBP.

Regular registration for the event for BLC members (8th and 9th): 40 GBP.

Regular registration for the event for non-members (8th and 9th):  55 GBP.

This fee  includes lunches on the 8th and 9th and coffee/tea breaks. Dinners are not included.

There will be a social (organised) dinner. The costs will be (approx.) 35 GBP with a reduced rate of 15 GBP  for PhD students. You will have to commit to attending (and paying) with registration.

Registration is now closed. If you want to register "last minute" please contact the organisers.

Note that you cannot cancel your room bookings after September 1st.  After that date, room costs will  have to be charged even if you do not attend!

Accommodation 

There will be single rooms (with several options regarding bathroom facilities) available on campus where the meeting will take place. The accommodation is in Lewes Court.

Price, if booked via organisers in good time (details to follow), will be:

• 40 pounds per night for a single room with shared bathroom facilities;
• 55 pounds per night for a single room with en-suite bathroom.

Breakfast is always included.

We will soon set up a via for you to book such a room on campus for the meeting.

Should you prefer to stay in the city centre then please book yourself. Be aware that prices are considerably higher in Brighton at that time of year and that it is advised that you book early.  We recommend that you book via the following:

Social Dinner

The dinner will take place in Brighton at The Sussex Yeoman on Friday evening (8th of September) at 19:30. The venue is very close to Brighton Station. Exact address and instructions how to get there will be provided nearer the time. If you stay on campus, it is recommended that you buy an Off-peak Day Return Ticket Falmer-Brighton for 3.40 GBP in advance to travel to the dinner and back. You can also take the bus, but this requires changes and takes much longer.

You need to be registered to attend the dinner. If you have not registered yet (regsitration is now closed) but want to attend, please contact the organisers.
