Gender studiesGender and MediaMA 1 year full-time The MA in Gender and Media focuses on the production and reception of powerful media understandings and representations of masculinity, femininity and sexuality. It explores a growing intellectual area, which opens into some of the key social, cultural and policy issues of the present day. The programme provides perspectives and information for people either already in the media field or wishing to enter it, or in any occupation where gender awareness would be an advantage. Drawing on the strengths of the gender studies and media studies faculties at the University of Sussex, this MA is one of only a few of its kind in the UK. Admission requirementsStudents normally have a first degree or comparable experience. For further information on admission and IELTS/TOEFL requirements, please refer to Applications and selection.
