Engineering and Informatics BAME Scholarship (2024)
The School of Engineering and Informatics invites applicants to apply for the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Scholarship. The scholarship aims to address the under-representation of Postgraduate Researchers from BAME backgrounds.
What you get
You will receive a tax-free stipend ata standard rate of £19,237 per year and your fees will be waived (at the UK, EU, or International rate). In addition, to a one-off Research and Training Support Grant of £2,000.

We invite applicants to propose their own research project, which closely aligns with the workin one (or more) of our research groups or centres.

Eligibility
This scholarship is available to UK, EU and overseas applicants.
Eligible candidates will have an upper second-class (2:1) undergraduate honours degree (orequivalent qualification) in a related field.

Please ensure you application includes each of the following:

The name of the faculty member(s) you wish to nominate as your supervisor(s). Our Informatics faculty can be found here. You may nominate up to 2 potential supervisors. Please contact any prospective supervisor prior to nominating them to ensure that your research interests align and that they are currently accepting new PGRs.
Degree certificates and transcripts.
2 references, including a minimum of 1 from any institution studied at within the last 5 years.
