15 credits, Level 5

Spring teaching

The module introduces you to the practical and methodological aspects of ethnographic research. The module teaches you to design and conduct an independent ethnographic research project around a key anthropological theme. This allows you to reflect on and apply the theoretical and practical insights gained in the course of your degree. You are guided and supported in:

  • formulating your own research question
  • designing a methodology
  • conducting ethnographic research
  • writing up your findings in a final report.

The module develops your ability to apply your theoretical knowledge of research methodology to a specific research project.
